Injustice Combat Guide
Here are several combat stuffs that a person should know when playing Injustice :
1. Characters have different health and damage based on the stat on their card, number beside heart represent their health and number beside fist represent their power/damage rate.
2. Characters don't deal damage from their basic attack (tap attack) as much as their power, only about 1-10% of it, and the last attack in the combo (which user must swipe in correct direction and the enemy must not block earlier attack of the combo) deals 1.5x more damage than the rest.
3. Characters heavy attack (complete swipe attack) deals 2x (some characters deal 3x for last blow) damage from basic attack.
4. Characters can guard by tap with 2 fingers. Guarding reduces damage taken by 25%.
Example of Point 2 & 3 :
Arrow attack 4 times in basic combo deals : 70 - 70 - 70 - 105
Arrow attack 3 times in heavy combo deals : 140 - 140 - 140
5. Characters gain about 3% bar per attack (either basic or heavy) and 5% bar per taking attack without guard.
6. Characters don't gain any bar from guarding, only exception is [Regime] Wonder Woman which gains 5% bar from guarding (except in Dead Zone, which will be explained in Injustice Story Challenge).
7. [Regime] Green Lantern passive improves power gain by 25% for all allies and [Regime] Green Lantern himself. The same as [Regime] Wonder Woman, it doesn't apply in Dead Zone. Animated Harley Quinn also provide similar bonus (20% Power Generation), as well as [Red Son] Wonder Woman (15% Power Generation/Red Son in Team), same rules as [Regime Wonder Woman].
Example :
1. Arrow attack an enemy in basic combo and they don't guard will result in :
Arrow's Bar : 12%
Enemy's Bar : 20%
2. Arrow guards an enemy basic combo result in :
Arrow's Bar : 0%
Enemy's Bar : 9%
3. Arrow ([Regime] Green Lantern in Party) takes damage and don't guard a complete basic combo :
Arrow's Bar : 20% + (20%x25/100) = 20% + 5% = 25%
Enemy's Bar : 12%
8. Bar (or Power Bar), is used to execute special attacks which deals far more damage than basic/heavy attacks.
9. Certain Special Attack has random effect such as Stun, Bleeding, Burning, and Poison.
10. All Level 1 & 2 Specials can be blocked, except Heat Vision ([Regime] Superman's 2nd), 200% Point Black ([Arkham Origin] Deathstroke), {Red Son} w/ [Red Son] Batman or Geared Characters. Blocking reduces damage taken by 50%.
11. All Level 3 Specials (Super Move) are UNAVOIDABLE. Super Moves can be executed after combos as well.
12. All specials have a thing to do before the special executes, except Super Moves. These things are from one of the following (a special can have 2 or more different things) and they affect the special's damage and effects (ex. Poison), they also have a limited time to reach maximum (varies by skill).
They're :
1. Aim : Try to shoot when the line is at 200%.
2. Swipe : Swipe till you reach 200%.
3. Bar-Charge : Fill the bar by pressing the circle to 200%, bar will reduces periodically when the circle is not pressed.*
4. Circle-Charge : Fill the circle till you reach 200%.
5. Tap : Tap the circles for extra % damage.**
Note : Some characters can be below or above 200% as limit.
* : you can press anywhere in screen since 2.1.0, and it will count toward the bar.
** : usually the Max is 140% or 160%
